IT'S SOLAR POWERED! The small, totally sealed solar panel is housed in a tough, aerodynamic, polycarbonate case that fits securely to the top of the box. Not only is this system environmentally-friendly (no toxic batteries to replace or throw away), but it will always produce light-even after just an hour in the sun. Fully charged (8 hours in the sun) it will produce light for over 4 hours.
IT'S SLEEK! The LidLight protrudes just an inch above your box and an inch inside so it's out of the way and won't get knocked or broken. You can position it anywhere on the lid; if you want a LOT of light you can install two or more LidLights.
IT'S BRIGHT! The array of five (5) super-bright white LEDs (light emitting diodes) are positioned to light up your box from end to end. The LEDs are specifically angled to shine down into your box and not into your eyes.
IT'S EASY! The LidLight takes just a couple minutes to install. Simply drill a 1 3/4" hole in your box lid with the hole saw (included), drop the solar charging system in from the top, and screw the strong retaining ring onto the bottom. The LidLight is totally sealed and so is your box. Caution: will not install in lids over 3/8 inch" thick.
IT'S AUTOMATIC! The patent-pending LidLight is filled with features. There's an internal tilt switch so that your LidLight only comes on when you open the box. The LidLight will charge in virtually any light (faster in bright sunlight, slower in overcast conditions). The internal NmH battery will hold a charge for up to three months, so even when your car is stored in a garage, the light will work. Just a few hours outside will charge it enough for several hours of use.
